mov movie has been published under the management of Akshay Kumar. Rajput (Prithviraj) and his wife Kamal (Malini Kapoor) live happily with their two children. Kamal is a very pious lady and she rarely sees her husband, and since the advent of the Independence, Kamal has developed an extra-marital affair. She does not want to bring it to the knowledge of her family, but continues her affair, as a secret. One fine day, as Rajput comes back home, he finds her in his bedroom with her lover and then, Rajput has a furious argument with her. So, Rajput decides to divorce Kamal. Meanwhile, at home, his father (Mohan Joshi) is getting old and cannot do much. Kamal's brother, Jai (Nandana Sen) has no other option than to arrange for their divorce through religious rituals. But Rajput does not agree to it. So, he wants to settle the matter between himself and his wife as soon as possible and then remarries Kamal. He has his second wife, who is a known courtesan, in his arms, and then, Kamal realizes her mistake. Then, she apologizes to her husband. But, she does not tell about her mistake to her family. Later, she dies of cancer. Rajput tries to find a means to settle his life with his second wife. He comes to know that his second wife is the sister of his brother-in-law. He realizes that the reason for her death is that she is ill-treated by her family and she was tortured by her family. After his second wife's death, he goes to her parents. Her father, being extremely rude, tells Rajput that he has been informed by his son that his daughter-in-law has been raped, and that he had seen the entire incident. Rajput, completely shocked, tells him that the girl is not at all like that. The father then tells him that he cannot take the responsibility of his daughter's marriage. Rajput decides to take care of his niece's marriage without asking anything from her family. Meanwhile, her mother comes to know that he was responsible for her daughter's death.
